The ice cream farm

We had plans to go to the beach today, however it was really overcast when we woke up (and remained overcast for the rest of the day) so we decided to have a last minute change of plan.

Lottie is currently obsessed with ice cream so we thought it would be a good idea to go to the ice cream farm in Cheshire. It’s free to get in, but you do have to pay for some of the attractions (soft play etc) and there is a no picnic policy. I had packed the picnic for the beach last night for us so this wasn’t a great policy for us. Ryan gets car sick so he hadn’t had breakfast before we left so the sandwiches didn’t go to waste, he had sandwiches for breakfast on the way in.

There is lots to do for the kids – outdoor play area and small farm which are free, and then indoor soft play, miniature golf, go-karts, indoor sand and water play which have an extra charge.

There is also the ice cream parlour which has 50 flavours of ice cream, we tried two flavours each, kids got cherry cola and marshmallow, Phil got rhubarb and custard and pistachio, I got Ferrero and sticky toffee.

We got there just after it opened and it was a bit quiet but it just got busier and busier, by half two it was just too crowded so we decided to leave and get something to eat.

The kids really enjoyed themselves and we have to go again now as we bought a play pass and they still have credits on it to use and we still have over 40 flavours of ice cream to try. Ha ha!
